Dear Bertram Van Munster, cc: Amazing Race Producers

Dear Mr. Van Munster & Associates,
As you can see, I no longer sport the "Tootie" hair-do that I had in my Amazing Race audition video.

I just wanted to let you know, in case it makes a difference.

Still eagerly awaiting your call,

Nicole J. Georges

p.s. In case you cannot find the tape, here it is:

p.p.s. Please note that my partner is Beth Pickens, not the senior terrier shown in the photograph.

Student Comic & Pet Portrait

Hello There!
Above is a panel from a comic about reading, done by a high school student who shall remain anonymous. It was one of my favorite panels from my recent residency at Benson High School.

Did you know I teach workshops and residencies to children, high school students, & senior citizens? I do. I will post more student work soon.

In the meantime, here is a cat portrait of someone named Winston, looking very handsome.

In case you are curious, the pet portrait scene over here is a little rough. Meaning, I am booked up through April at the moment. April-June I'll be too busy teaching to portrait for your pets, but after that we can talk.
If you are desperately seeking a portrait for a gift, consider getting a gift certificate! I will hand draw a gift certificate for your loved one, informing them of the gift they are to receive. Then you can wrap it up, see the look on their face, and they can have the joy of bossing me around themselves, instead of you doing it on their behalf.
Consider it!

I am currently working on the Vanport comic for Dill Pickle Club, planning my trip to the Chicago Zine Fest, and training daily, JUST IN CASE we get called for an Amazing Race audition.

Take care, more soon,
xoxo

Zinesters Guide to Portland

The Zinesters Guide to Portland was just mentioned in The Oregonian, and indeed there is a pull quote in which I am saying that you have to be prepared to Punch Your Way out of The Goodwill Bins if you find a Mohair Sweater there.
So take a look!
Also there is a picture in the print edition that I drew in homage to my favorite breakfast restaurant, Juniors.

P.s. Christmas Present

Jeb got me new bike tires for Xmas (with the help of Nate), and made me a hand drawn card. Here is a photo of the card:

Thanks, Jeb!

A Julie Klausner Holiday Card!

Happy New Year, Friends!

Here is a holiday card I drew for Julie Klausner, star of podcast, print, stage & screen.

Card seen here next to a walnut Santa Mouse, made by my neighbor Alice.

She is featured with her cat, Smiley Muffin, clad in a banner & wishing you a Happy New Year.

You can listen to her podcast here or on iTunes.
Highly recommended.

xoxo Happy 2012!!!

p.s. The first thing I bought in 2012 was some french fries. Just so you know.
